The Imperial and Hayes Center Range Judging teams practiced together in pastures near Hayes Center Saturday morning. Imperial is preparing for the Area III contest in Red Cloud on September 18. It was a great morning to learn about native rangelands. Thanks to Lance Kuenning for driving and Debbie Kuenning for water and snacks. Also thanks to Rick and Lana May of Hayes Center for letting us use their pastures to practice. Good luck to both teams!

This week's PBIS winners! These are just a few of the students who have worked so hard to show their teachers and our school how to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
As a reminder students get tickets for showing acts of kindness and helpfulness toward others. They earn tickets for acts of respect and responsibility without being asked or reminded and for acts of safety in the halls, classrooms, gym, and playground before, during, and after school.
PBIS helps us to draw attention to all the abundant good that is happening and takes away emphasis and power from the negative.

A big shout out to the Building Construction class for painting the football field for every home game! These students use painting the field to learn how to layout building sites.
Exciting week for the technology department! We added a drone to the equipment students can use to film or take pictures that they can edit later. High school students have been busy testing it and learning the functions.
A handful of JAG students spent the day at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. They had the opportunity to tour the campus, get advice from current college students, and hear from various departments to learn what UNK has to offer.
