The Longhorn XC teams competed at the District XC meet in Ogallala today. Trevin M. was the only individual State Meet qualifier. Congratulations on a fabulous season to our Longhorn runners!
Sophomore, Trevin M. finished 10th at the District Cross Country meet in Ogallala today, earning him a trip to the State Cross Country Meet in Kearney next Friday, Oct. 21! Congratulations, Trevin! Job well done to the rest of the Longhorn XC team for closing out the season.
Attention All Senior Parents:
Parents are invited to show our Longhorn spirit and help paint the Longhorn street outside of the school this Sunday at 2:30. Please bring a brush and a bucket.
All senior sports parents: Each sport will be represented on the lawn outside of the city offices. Parents are responsible for putting out the signs and banners they wish to represent their teams and athletes.

On Tuesday, October 18th all juniors will take the District ACT. Any seniors may also choose to take the ACT on this day. Students should report to the Auxiliary Gym by 7:45am with a calculator and pencil(s). Remember to eat a good breakfast, dress in layers, and bring a snack. Students will be dismissed for a 30 minute lunch around 1pm and then return to school. Seniors who choose not to take the ACT are required to attend classes. Good luck on your ACT next week students!
On Saturday the volleyball team will be competing in the SPVA Conference tournament as the #2 seed. Come cheer on the Longhorns in Grant!

Lots of freshmen and sophomores showed up ready to work today! They continued the tradition of volunteering to set up the pumpkins at Cox’s Ponds.
Foods and Nutrition students held a Chili Cook-Off today! Students selected and prepared recipes independently using the skills they’ve acquired in 1st Quarter. They were all delicious! Winners will be announced on Tuesday. 🏆

On Thursday, October 6th, our teams go head to head in Imperial, and you're invited to help us raise funds for the American Cancer Society at our Spike Out Cancer Pink Out. 💓
Many people in our small communities have been affected by this disease in some way, and we want to honor lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors of the disease, and support innovative research for a cure.
