
PBIS winners this week at CCS! Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) encourages our students to be safe, respectful and responsible wherever they are at school. It’s The Longhorn Way!


Next week our students in Grades 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 will be taking their state test for English Language Arts. 4th graders will test the following week. Grades 3, 5, and 6 students will test on Tuesday, March 29th in their classrooms. Grade 7 students will test during periods 1-2 on Tuesday, March 29th. Grade 8 students will test during periods 1-2 on Wednesday, March 30th. Please get plenty of rest and eat healthy food so you are ready to do your best!

Mr Herbert reached 5 gallon mark in blood donation today at school blood drive!


On next Tuesday, March 29th all 10th grade students will be taking the ACT exam for the first time in the Auxiliary Gym. The test will last until approximately 12:45pm. Lunch will be from 12:45-1:15pm and students will report to 6th - 8th periods afterward. Please ensure students are well rested, have a good breakfast, and arrive on time to be able to do their best. Students should dress in layers and bring a snack, pencils, and a calculator. Good luck sophomores!

Today students in Grades 10-12 attended the College and Career Fair in the Auxiliary Gym. They had the opportunity to speak with colleges and local employers about opportunities for their future and ways to achieve their college and career goals.





The 7th Graders played Go Fish with their poetry vocabulary words!


Reminder: All 5th and 8th graders will take the state NSCAS Science test tomorrow--Wednesday, March 23rd. 8th graders will test during periods 1-2. 5th graders will test in their Science classes throughout the week. Please charge ipads, get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, attend school on time, and be ready to do your best on the NSCAS Science!

Brayan ended his three rounds at state speech with an overall speaker rank of 10. To make finals, he needed a rank of 8. While he did not make finals, he did make Chase County proud!
Congratulations on a great season, Brayan!

For all sophomores that sold Prairie Girl Candles in our fundraiser, the candles are in! Sophomore students and/or parents should plan to pick them up Friday, March 18th from 7:00-7:50AM or Monday, March 21st from 7:00-7:50AM/5:30-7:00PM.
