
CCS JV Volleyball rounded out last week in Ogallala! They focused hard on teamwork, fundamentals, and fun proving they could hold their own against some tough varsity level competition!! Great job girls!!

These two girls spent the first half of the week with around 100 other journalism students from across the state. They listened to seminars about yearbook development and worked hard to start designing this coming year's book. We can't wait to capture all the moments this next school year will bring!

CCS Varsity Volleyball had an impressive performance at the Ogallala Team Camp earlier this week. They brought home the gold in the silver category!!


Sports Academy has ended for the summer. The students that attended were able to visit the concession stand to purchase items based on the money they earned for attending. Thank you, Mrs. Spady and Ms. Odens for organizing these fun weeks!




There will not be an open gym tonight in the auxiliary gym as the facility is being utilized for today's blood drive. There will be open gyms tomorrow and Thursday evenings from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.

CCS Volleyball is hosting a Youth Skills Camp for any one 4-8th grade! July 24th in the Aux gym. Registration forms are available at the main office. Forms are accepted past the 16th campers may receive their T-shirt later.



Finally, the weight relay team of Cristobal, Carson, Noah, and Trace broke the long standing school record set back in 1992 by Dave Ridlen, Jerel Fortkamp, Bruce Peterson, and Guy Gilsdorf. Their time of 47.05 broke the previous mark of 47.44! Congrats men!!!


The 4X100 relay team of Austin, Tucker, Thomas, and Camron set the school record of 43.05 seconds. They bested the mark of 43.41 seconds set last year by Johnny Sosa, Tucker, Thomas, and Camron! Congrats fellas!!


Noah's discus throw of 203' 9" made him the CCHS, Nebraska Class B, and the All-Class Nebraska state record holder. He surpassed the record of 165' 11" set by Chris Bessler back in 1990! Great job, Noah!!


After several record-setting jumps this season, Kole now holds the CCHS boys long jump record with a leap of 22 '9.5" -- the previos record od 22' 1/2" was set by Cody Williams in 2017! Way to go, Kole!!


Let the record (board) show, Tristan is Chase County's school record holder in the 800! His time of 1:57.41 surpassed the mark of 1:57.42 set by Brett Gooden in 2006. Congrats T!!!


This week, Noah received his gold medal for being Nebraska's 2025 All-Class State Track Meet champion in the boys discus! Congrats Noah!!!
